The Bullmastiff is a molossoide which, despite its large size, can live well in an apartment, being very delicate in its movements. It is one of the most balanced dogs, it never has an uncontrolled reaction and loves children treating them as if they are her puppies; it is very affectionate towards members of the family, and with strangers it is inoffensive, it is always well behaved. At home it is never a hindrance or rough, but always good humoured, looking for cuddles and affection so it is very sensitive to reproach. It is not a dog to be kept isolated or tied up, it loves human contact, and it suffers if this is missing. Its physical and morphologic qualities are suitable to the type of life man now leads.: ready reflexes like the best guard dogs, an attentive guard dog, quick, courageous, less cumbersome than the Mastiff or the Great Dane, with a heart of gold towards its owner, a perfect nanny for children, sporty, clean by natureā¦.. it looks grumpy, but its size and his elegant behaviour hides a large heart: it is amongst the most affectionate dogs and faithful friend of man.
